Fridge proudly presents the Blue Ribbon Dog Show at gallery onetwentyeight, a joyful, playful, and wildly creative exhibition celebrating dogs, art, and the wonderfully unpredictable spirit that makes Fridge what it is.
Featuring the work of Mim Viera, Kaitlin Martin, David Waage, Cassius Sonoquie, Jefre Harwoods, Hugh Burckhardt, Yuko K., Jason Smith, Crystal Wreden, Scarlett, Jim Savage, Toki Ozaki, “Doggie Boy” artist Eric Ginsburg, and friends. The exhibition brings together a pack of unique voices and perspectives for a show that promises surprises, laughter, color, and heart.

From expressive portraits and playful interpretations to imaginative canine-inspired works, the Blue Ribbon Dog Show honors our furry companions and the special place they hold in our lives and communities. True to the Fridge spirit — small but mighty — this exhibition embraces creativity without rules and celebrates connection, joy, and the the love of art.
Visitors can expect an unforgettable gathering where dogs, artists, and art lovers come together for an experience that is equal parts exhibition, celebration, and tail-wagging good time.

Digital Collage/Screenshot of my process in Photoshop. - January 1st 2026.

This piece is based on an ancient Greek marble sculpture of Aphrodite, reworked through a contemporary lens. A soft green overlay and glowing lines trace her face, pulling from digital filters, face-mapping, and facial recognition tools. The markings sit on top of the worn stone, mixing something ancient and heavy with something digital and temporary.

By layering modern visual language onto a classical figure, the work looks at how images of beauty, bodies, and mythology keep changing over time. Aphrodite becomes less of a fixed statue and more like an image that’s constantly being updated, edited, and seen through technology.

Many of us make very little money from our art.

WE MAKE ART BECAUSE WE LOVE IT.

We cannot imagine not making art every day or at least every day we are able to find the time.

Some nights I wake up in the middle of the night with an idea, probably from a dream. My dream journal is a sketchbook. Every waking hour I am making art, even when I am sleeping.

Those are my thoughts for this Saturday, March 1st.

I am currently saving all of my TikToks, which for me is/was? mostly experimental/trying out filters and posting them good or bad. I don’t do any viral dances, nor would anyone want me to…I just post my art or myself with random filters.

My most viral TikTok was in 2022, an Olympic diving montage…Over 45K views. My least popular received 0 views…I think it was shadowbanned, but who knows.
